This session will cover topics related to textiles as a reinforcement of composite materials, including structure, fabrication, analytical methods and mechanical characterization of textiles and textile composites.

2.Nanofibers, Nonwovens and Industrial Textiles
“Nanofibers, Nonwovens and Industrial textiles” will cover topics related to fabrication and functionalization of electro spun nanofibers, and their industrial application and commercialization. This session will also cover topics related to new technologies and standards for manufacturing technology and evaluation methods of industrial textiles with nonwoven fabrics.

3.Dyeing and Finishing
“Dyeing and Finishing” will cover topics related to dyeing, functional processing and color evaluation science for fiber materials, textiles and products. Dyeing and finishing are essential sciences and technologies that add value and a variety of functions to fibrous materials. This session will also look at the future of dyeing and finishing for a sustainable society.

4.Science and Technology of Textiles Machinery
“Science and Technology of Textiles Machinery” covers topics related to novel technologies of textile machinery, their industrial applications and commercialization. This session also includes studies on fiber assembly, fabric design such as 3D structured fabrics and textiles product fabrication.

5.Apparel, Comfort and Smart Textiles
“Apparel, Comfort and Smart textiles” will cover topics related to new research activities by an inter-disciplinary approach for apparel science, protective clothing, and simulation techniques for the appearance and behavior of fabrics and garments. This session will also cover topics related to a novel technologies for evaluating the functional properties of textile assembly, and novel technologies and standards for certification of textiles and apparel products.

6.Textiles for Sustainable Development
Textiles for Sustainable Development” will discuss about the sustainability challenges related to textiles from the viewpoint of the engineer, technologist and designer that inter alia may include: Bio-inspiration, 3D weaving and design research methods. This session will also cover topics as to how the global textile industry is addressing the sustainable development goals (SDGs).
